Rescue HIT Living Foundation
This is Skipy. He was found as a stray with a severely broken leg. He's unable to put any weight on it and needs specialized surgery to have the bone repaired. Until then, he has to wear a full body cast and keep his activity levels low, which has put a huge damper on his busy puppy schedule.

"Skipy was found abandoned in a dumpster, trembling and with his left leg severely injured due to the abuse he had suffered. At just 8 weeks old, he is facing a severe injury that prevents him from putting weight on his front leg.Taken to the South LA shelter, Skipy received basic care, but the severity of the fracture requires specialized treatment that the shelter cannot provide due to limited resources. Fortunately, the HIT Living Foundation was alerted to his situation and took him in as soon as he was stable enough for transfer."
Vet Visit
Skipy was immediately brought to Shane Veterinary Hospital for X-rays of his leg. The results revealed a severe humerus fracture, requiring urgent surgery. The repair will be more complicated than most fractures due to its proximity to the growth plate.
His rescue has shared that, “Despite the pain he’s experiencing, he’s been nothing but friendly and full of love. His tail is always wagging, and he’s the most grateful little guy. He loves snuggles and everyone he meets. The entire vet staff has fallen in love with him.”
